Championships 2008, 27~29
September 2008
This campaign is supported Rope
Skipping
Singapore, Rulang Primary School and the families of the athletes.
The Singapore team is the first international
team to compete in the Skipping Australia National Championships. It
is made
up of 13 rope skippers including 8 of
the youngest athletes ever to represent Singapore overseas in a sport
competition. These 8 year old trained for almost 6 weeks before
departing for Gold Coast, Australia. Training systems had to be
developed for such
young athletes. Their equipment and competition strategies had to be
carefully planned to reap the full potential of these yearlings.
